SHF posts #4 - The QM Rule
The Quantum Mechanics Rule
Like I said before, this is a prank the Universe played on us - Quantum Mechanics is literally as easy to understand as "1, 2, 3" [you think I am joking - trust me, it is the Universe laughing at us all - me included].
Suppose we start with nothing at all [don't get heavy and talk about non-existence yet].
Then introduce one thing - call it A.
So far we have one thing, A.
Now let's bring in another thing, B.
You may be thinking we now have two things?
You would be WRONG.
A and B are QUANTA!
They are, as being undefined in any other way so far, quantum units waiting to be ascribed something other than their temporary labels [also quanta] "A" and "B".
As quanta, they can combine to form a new quantum unit, "AB", of EQUAL value to the others ["A" and "B"].
Without concerning ourselves for now with the 'imaginary' pair to each of these, and the 'imaginary' pair of pairs [it stops there you will be glad to know], we can already see that there are in fact now THREE THINGS, once the second item was introduced.
So, two items means THREE THINGS.
There is no "two things"...
In the real world there are only ever "two things" in the above scenario, however much you pretend they can combine perfectly like quanta to make a new quantum [this property is UNIQUE to quanta]. This is why our instinct that it is still two things in a quantum situation is so strong.
Undoing this logical error is all it takes to understand Quantum Meachanics and move on to realising you already knew all this when you were born - love everything unconditionally and do whatever your instinct says to do.
Only if you allow the switching mechanism (quantum mechanics) to mislead you into doubting your first (pure general relativity sourced) instinct and you start second, third, (etc..) guessing your actions can quantum mechanics pollute your thoughts with negativity [literally called "dark enery" in the scientific literature: Dark energy - Wikipedia].
Of course, the question of free will arises but really that has nothing to do with anything - again a quantum mechanics doubting trick.
Free thinking is all there is, unless you are cut off from it by doubting anything you think at all.
Try it just for a day - do whatever your brain wants to do - you will find yourself tidying up all the tangled mess of things around you that you never gott around to sorting before, while listening to your favourite music you had forgotten all about (but your brain/the Universe was just waiting to remind you of if you'd only let it all operate as it will if you don't try to change it all the time [NEVER doing that again for 24,000 years is the actual future we are all in now].
I'll stop there for now.
Really there's nothing to it - the only difficulty is getting people to realise there's nothing to it.
Sweet dreams.
